Owner Eric Svedberg started in the gas station business at just 16 years old, learning early the value of hard work, honest service, and taking care of customers. By age 22, he purchased Kempsville Amoco, becoming the youngest Amoco dealer in the country. Over time, that business evolved into Automotive Specialists, where Eric continued building a reputation for quality repair, trusted advice, and a commitment to helping customers feel safe and confident on the road.
Eric later purchased European Autowerks from its original owner and brought that same hands-on experience, high standards, and customer-first approach to a shop focused exclusively on European vehicles. Today, European Autowerks combines decades of automotive experience with advanced diagnostic equipment, specialized European vehicle knowledge, and a team committed to fixing vehicles the right way. From routine maintenance to complex diagnostics, our goal is simple: to provide expert care, honest communication, and dependable repairs so every customer can drive with confidence.
