To: European Autowerks Chuck, I wanted to write you for two reasons. I wanted to inform you that I recently sold my orange 240D and also wanted to thank European Autowerks for the outstanding service I have received over the past four years. I have not purchased another Mercedes, but I am likely to in the future and European Autowerks will once again have my business. Thanks again for treating me like a "customer" , which is something that many business have forgotten about. Congratulations on your expansion! Your success is well deserved. Sincerely, Vincent A. Pilato November 14,2001 Hampton Roads Better Business Bureau Virginia Beach Chamber of Commerce Knowing that you folks are constantly dealing with the "wrongs" of the local business world, I thought I'd share a very positive experience from the automotive repair community. Let me begin by stating that I'm one of those "Their all crooks" type of guys. Over the past six weeks I had been having increasingly more difficulty starting my 1991 Mercedes which resulted in spending countless hours troubleshooting the cold start system of my car. To assist me with the troubleshooting I enlisted the help of a backyard mechanic friend and purchased a fuel injection guide and downloaded many "help items" from the internet, all to no avail. Begrudgingly, I went to the yellow pages to pick my poison. The "European Autowerks" ad stated that the company specialized in Mercedes Benz and provided fair below Dealer hourly rates and referenced their website. Once in the website I noticed an additional reference to "honest work" and decided that since I was locked into dealing with a repair shop I might as well go with one with reasonable rates and the word "honest" in their vocabulary. Last night I dropped off the car and today spent the morning waiting for the automotive equivalent to the military chaplain pulling up to the door with the bad news. During my troubleshooting efforts I checked on the cold start system parts prices. The prices ranged from $60 some odd dollars up to $585.00 so I was braced for a severe kick in the wallet. Having received no word at noon I called for the verdict, SURPRISE! a simple overload relay and a surprisely cheap repair at $140.00. While I am convinced that there are plenty of crooks out there, my faith in the auto repair industry is less jaded following the honest and professional service I received at European Autowerks. I can't express how pleased I am to find a shop that actually stood behind their advertising and as an added bonus the lady at the front desk couldn't have been more pleasant. Needless to say they have a permanent new customer. Sincerely, Al Clock April 9, 2004 Dear Chuck, Thank you very, very much. You and your crew, as my daughter is accustomed to saying, are totally awesome. Taking ownership of our "new" 420 SEL today was a much more than just a car sale for Suzanne and me. You and Gary have faithfully looked after us for over a dozen years. Whether it's your advice on a little thing, like perhaps repairing a cracked dash, or much more important things, like providing a safe vehicle for my kids to use traveling to college, you've always come through for us. That is priceless. Thank you. You opened European Autowerks about the same time I started my second career as a financial planner. Many times over the years you have been my example of the type of quality service I owe to my clients. Thank you for that as well. Happy Easter Weekend to you, Gary, Rebecca and the crew. Sincerely, Bob Ponton April 20, 2004 Dear Chuck, The purpose of this letter is to thank you for being such a conscientious businessman and more importantly, a consistent friend that we can count on regularly regardless of the car problems that we face. It meant alot to us, if only emotionally, for you to replace the glow plugs in our car at no charge because of our previous request to replace all of them. We never expected this kind of generosity and truly appreciate your concern for our vehicle and us. So once again your business ethics have managed to exceed our expectations. Sincerely, Ed and Marilou Kruer |
